Dr Ben Styles leads NFER’s Education Trials Unit, which is responsible for the delivery of an extensive portfolio of randomised controlled trials (RCTs) of educational interventions. He sits on external Advisory Groups and Trial Steering Committees, and advises the UK’s Education Endowment Foundation on matters concerning the analysis of education RCTs. In response to the disruption to education caused by the pandemic, he has turned his attention to measuring attainment gaps and how to close them. He is a Chartered Statistician.
