Mapping Outcomes and Activities Tool (MOAT) Resources
The Mapping Outcomes and Activities Tool (MOAT) is a practical evaluation resource designed to enable robust evaluation of interventions by assisting practitioners and evaluators to consistently label and record the outcomes and activities they deliver as part of their widening participation outreach.
TASO has developed three MOATs:
- The Pre-entry MOAT is used to assist in the planning and evaluation of widening participation outreach programmes. It visually maps the relationship between outreach activity types, activity sub-types and the associated outcomes.
- The Attainment-raising MOAT is used to assist in the planning and evaluation of attainment-raising interventions as part of widening participation outreach programmes. The attainment-raising MOAT provides a visual map of the relationship between activity sub-types for skills and attainment-raising activities and the associated outcomes.
- The Post-entry MOAT is used to assist you in the planning and evaluation of activities designed to support student success.
You can access the pre-entry MOAT and attainment-raising MOAT resources to plan your programmes/interventions and evaluation activities below.
