How to evaluate the implementation and process of interventions
Alongside evaluating impact, we think it is vital to also evaluate process and evaluation, using robust, transparent and comparable IPE standards.
While impact evaluation helps us understand what works, IPE focuses on understanding how an intervention or programme is executed, how it operates to achieve its intended outcomes, how it impacts students, and the factors that influence these processes.
IPE encourages evaluators to consider whether the key components of an intervention’s theory of change – including its inputs, activities, outcomes, change mechanisms, and impact – are practical and achievable.
To support the launch of the new tools, we are hosting a webinar today, 4 June 2024, 10:30–12:00. Join us alongside experts from Nottingham Trent University to learn more about the tools and guidance, and how to get the most out of IPE.
