The Office for Students is funding TASO to establish a new evidence and evaluation library which will enable higher education providers to learn from one another’s evaluations of access and participation interventions.

The Higher Education Evaluation Library (HEEL) will:

  • build a greater understanding of activity and practice across the student lifecycle
  • support enhanced skills and capability to develop and use evidence
  • provide opportunities for learning and sharing knowledge of different activities and evaluation approaches.

The announcement of this library follows the Office for Students’ guidance requiring higher education providers to publish the evaluations of the interventions implemented as part of access and participation plans (APPs).

As part of the project, higher education providers will also gain further guidance on the form, timeline and practicalities of publishing  evaluations under new APP requirements.

The library will be launched in 2025.
