Are you located near Bristol and looking to improve the efficacy of your student mental health support?

Join us on 6 December in Bristol, where we will be hosting an interactive event at the University of the West of England on using evidence and evaluation to improve support for student mental health.

We will be sharing best practice approaches to evaluating student mental health interventions and guide you through how to use our new Student Mental Health Evidence Hub. The Hub provides information, evidence and evaluation guidance that the sector can use to improve the efficacy of their student mental health support.

During this event, we will take a detailed look at the Hub, including the Student Mental Health Evidence Toolkit, examples of practice, and evaluation guidance. You will have the opportunity to dive into the practical applications of the student mental health evidence hub and gain a deeper understanding of how it can guide evidence-informed practice and build evaluation capacity.

This event will include:

Speakers:

  • John De Pury, Assistant Director Policy, Universities UK
  • Sarah Gallagher, Head of Student Wellbeing Services, Bath Spa University
  • Marie Pring, Living Well Officer, University of the West of England
  • Bec Rengel, Data and Evaluation Officer, University of the West of England
  • Tatjana Damjanovic, Research Officer, TASO

The Student Mental Health Evidence Hub:

Developed by a consortium consisting of AMOSSHE The Student Service Organisation, King’s/SMaRteN, Student Minds, and What Works Wellbeing, we synthesised evidence, identified current practices and gaps in mental health support for students, supported partners in evaluating their interventions, and produced case studies and evaluation guidance.

Who is this event for?

Practitioners, researchers, evaluators, and mental health support teams at HE providers who wish to guide their practice and update their strategies and perspectives on student mental health evidence-based intervention.
