Student internships and placements

At TASO, we are committed to providing development opportunities for students with a passion for research and an interest in our work. Currently, we do this through two key initiatives: our summer internship programme and student work placements.

Internships

Our summer internship programme is designed for those who are undertaking, or who have recently completed, a research-focused course; or those considering a career in research. Interns collaborate closely with our research and evaluation team, gaining hands-on experience across various projects.

Internship activities include:

This programme aims to equip interns with practical skills and insights into working within research environments for social good.

Applications for our 2025 summer internship programme will open early next year.

Placements

In partnership with City, University of London, we offer work placements for second-year undergraduate students enrolled on the Q-Step data analytics pathway. This programme, designed to enhance the data skills of social science students, has been widely praised for improving employment prospects.

Our placements involve working one day a week with our Research and Evaluation team during the second term, where students gain valuable experience conducting data analysis.

For more details about these opportunities, stay tuned to our website or reach out to us directly at info@taso.org.uk.
