On Wednesday 2nd November we will be hosting a webinar to launch a multi-scale questionnaire which we would like the sector to pilot through their evaluation activity.
The launch is the next step in our Survey Validation Project which aims to review existing survey scales used to measure common intermediate outcomes across widening access and student success and develop a multi-scale questionnaire that can be used for this purpose.
We have been working with researchers from The Brilliant Club and the University of Cambridge on the project.
Project overview:
We started by consulting with the sector and reviewing the existing scales used by higher education providers (HEPs) in the UK. Through this we identified the intermediate outcomes which required new scales in order for the sector to be able to accurately measure them. This has led to the development of a draft multi-scale questionnaire which we now want to pilot with the sector through their evaluation activity. The findings from this pilot will allow us to develop a final, fully-validated version of the questionnaire that will be launched in 2023, ready to be used by the sector
The event will take the following format:
- Overview of the project
- Introduction to the multi-scale widening participation questionnaire
- Guidance for how to use the questionnaire in your evaluation activity
- Q&A
Who is the event for?
Stakeholders wishing to evaluate the impact of widening participation access and student success initiatives on intermediate outcomes.
Date and time: Wednesday 2nd November 2 – 3.30pm
Location: Online Zoom webinar
