TASO seeking new Trustees

We are looking to appoint new Trustees with diverse skills and experiences including strategic finance and accountancy, HR and Talent Management, people with experience of philanthropy and PR / Communications.
We are now looking to appoint new Trustees who will work with our founding Trustees and Omar Khan to take TASO forward and ensure we are an effective and impactful organisation. This is a great time to join at the very start of our new journey, offering the opportunity to contribute to shaping and developing an organisation that has the potential to transform lives. We are looking for people with wide-ranging experiences across different sectors who can bring a different way of thinking. Our Trustees will be passionate about what TASO is striving to achieve. We are seeking a number of people with diverse skills and experiences including but not limited to: strategic finance and accountancy, HR and Talent Management, people with experience of philanthropy and PR & Communications. A priority for us is to ensure we represent the people we are seeking to support and so we are looking to appoint a student representative – someone who has not had a traditional route to university and perhaps came from a vocational route. We expect all our Trustees to be credible advocates and ambassadors of TASO. Given we are a new and growing organisation, it would be helpful to have people who are entrepreneurial and who may have direct experience of start-up. We expect the time commitment to build up to a day a month as TASO becomes established. This will include quarterly meetings, occasional considered input into working groups and attendance at sector events.

Welcome from our Chair, Eunice Simmons

Thank you for your interest in joining the Board of the Centre for Transforming Access and Student Outcomes (TASO). [[OLD IMAGE]] Professor Eunice Simmons, Chair of Trustees TASO has a unique opportunity to drive equality in higher education, and I have been hugely encouraged by the level of support the HE sector has already demonstrated for its mission. Widening participation is currently centre stage in higher education, and TASO will need to work with hundreds of institutions across the sector to address this important challenge. We are currently spinning out of King’s College London to be an independent organisation and we have just appointed Omar Khan as our Founding Director to build our charity and presence. Given our current stage of development we are looking to appoint a diverse range of people to our Board to help us build our organisation. If you share my passion for equality within higher education and are excited by the opportunity to launch and develop an organisation that has the potential to eliminate equality gaps in education, then please get in touch with our consultants at Peridot Partners.
