The deadline for applications has now passed.

TASO is entering into an ambitious period of growth. With the launch of two new themes the team is looking to significantly expand its Research & Evaluation portfolio and is now looking for a diverse range of partners to help bring these projects to life.

Document accessibility: TASO is committed to making all documents accessible for all audiences. Please email info@taso.org.uk if you need further assistance in understanding and accessing the Word document, or if you prefer the document in a different format.

  • ITT One: What works to support student Mental Health in Higher Education (HE) (NOW CLOSED)

The purpose of this project will be to better our understanding of what works for improving and maintaining students’ mental health and inform which interventions we prioritise for impact evaluation. Therefore, we are inviting suppliers to tender for a combined rapid evidence review and sector consultation.

Our overarching aim is to summarise and triangulate evidence to understand how mental health is driving or perpetuating equality gaps in HE.

  • ITT Two: What works to reduce equality gaps for disabled students in Higher Education (NOW CLOSED)

The purpose of this review is to build evidence of the impact of different interventions to improve the experience (e.g. well-being) and success (e.g. access, retention, attainment, progression) of disabled students in HE.

We are inviting suppliers to tender for a combined rapid evidence review and sector consultation for this project. This work will inform which interventions we prioritise for impact evaluation in future.

  • ITT Three: What works to reduce equality gaps in employment and employability in Higher Education (NOW CLOSED)

This project will explore equality gaps in graduate employability, progression to further study and employment. This project aims to improve our understanding of how best to approach the topic given the complex interplay of factors that determine student destinations.

We are inviting suppliers to tender for a combined rapid evidence review and sector consultation on this project. This work will also inform which interventions we prioritise for impact evaluation in future.

  • ITT Four: Validating survey scales for constructs relevant to widening participation and student success (NOW CLOSED)

This project aims to review the existing scales used to measure common intermediate outcomes and design a multi-scale questionnaire that can be used across widening participation and student success teams.

We are commissioning a supplier to conduct the following three-phase project:

  • Phase 1: Consult and Review
  • Phase 2: Develop and Design
  • Phase 3: Produce Guidance

The deadline for applications for all four research projects was Tuesday, 19th October 2021.

  • ITT Five: Open call to join the Centre for Transforming Access and Student Outcomes’ (TASO) Panel of Evaluators

TASO is seeking to recruit a diverse set of organisations to join our new panel of evaluators which, we anticipate, will demonstrate a wide range of interests and expertise in the evaluation of access and student success programmes and interventions.

We look to appoint independent evaluators to provide a rigorous evaluation of the implementation, process, cost and impact of interventions and programmes.

For more information, including how to apply, download ITT five brief.

The deadline for the open call is Wednesday, 3rd November 2021.
