Measuring change: Evaluating outcomes in practice

London
Learn how to collect and analyse data to measure changes in participant outcomes and report findings accurately

Price: £349+ VAT

In this training, you will learn how to measure whether your interventions are associated with meaningful change for participants. You will explore a range of quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, including surveys, interviews and observations.

The session will provide practical tips for strengthening data collection and analysis to demonstrate non-causal changes in participants’ outcomes. We will also cover how to recognise the limits of what this kind of evidence can show, so that findings are reported with claims that are honest, proportionate and useful for improving delivery.

This training covers methods that are relevant for generating what is referred to as ‘Type 2’ evidence in the Office for Students’ standards of evidence. These methods don’t involve a control group and don’t establish causal evidence of impact.
