An introduction to TASO’s ethics guidance – sign up now

TASO to host a webinar on newly developed ethics guidance

On Wednesday 30th March we will be hosting a webinar with the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) on our recently developed ethics guidance, which will be launched the week before the session. The webinar will be an introduction to the guidance and how to engage with it.

TASO has commissioned UCLan to produce the standardised guidance on ethics for field research on widening participation and student success.

As well as supporting the sector with the use of a range of research methods, we feel it is equally important to support the navigation of ethical  considerations that come with such research methods.

The use of experimental and quasi-experimental methods, such as randomised controlled trials (RCTs), is novel for many providers, practitioners, and evaluators in the higher education sector. There is also a lack of familiarity with the ethical considerations surrounding these and other large-scale quantitative methods, which we hope this guidance will address.

Please do keep an eye out for the publication of this guidance and feel free to bring any questions you have to the webinar.
