TASO and Sutton Trust to host conference on fair admissions

Conference to bring together leading voices in the HE sector to explore potential solutions to one of the biggest issues facing the sector today

TASO and the Sutton Trust are hosting a conference on Wednesday 26th January, entitled Fair admissions beyond Post-Qualification Admissions (PQA).

The conference aims to bring together some of the most informed and challenging voices and approaches from around the world to shape the ideas, practices and policies to deliver fair admissions in higher education (HE).

Fair admissions is one of the key issues facing the HE sector today, in both the short and longer term. The pandemic will continue to affect grading and admissions this year and next, raising serious questions about fairness within and across cohorts. Longer term, the number of university aged students is growing at a quicker rate than the number of places, raising further challenges for addressing inequalities of access to higher education.
